Grants & Scholarships
OMAG is proud to offer grants, scholarships, and sponsorships to help member municipalities and their employees access essential equipment, training, and professional development opportunities.
Law Enforcement Grants
- OMAG provides funding for the purchase of body-worn cameras for qualifying police departments. These systems protect law enforcement officers and citizens and help reduce liability claims.
Public Works Grants
- At no charge to you, OMAG will use our SL-RAT to quickly detect conditions in your gravity-fed sewer lines.

- OMAG is committed to helping member municipalities provide the tools and personal protective equipment necessary to implement safe work practices for their public works employees.
- OMAG will provide guaranteed sewer root control treatments for qualifying municipalities.
- OMAG encourages plan participants to observe best practices in an effort to reduce liability exposure. OMAG recognizes the limited resources available to members and wishes to provide a limited number of grants through this program.
- Public Works departments with overflow risks can qualify for an inspection and audit of their system to address overflows.

Dorie Spitler Scholarship
- For first-time attendees of the Fall Conference. OMAG works with OMCTFOA to assist their scholarship applicants.
OML Conference Scholarship
Chuck Smith Award
- For first-time attendees of the OML Conference.
CMAO Winter Conference Scholarship
Dave Harris Fellowship
- For first-time attendees of the CMAO Winter Conference.
OMHRP Human Resource Scholarship
Pam Spinks Scholarship
- OMAG provides scholarships for Human Resource professionals to attend professional conferences.
- The scholarship includes registration, lodging, and meals for any conference in Oklahoma that has a human resources track, including the OKHR Conference, OML Conference, OMCTFOA, and others.

Sponsorships & Event Support
Apart from the grants and scholarships listed above, OMAG is proud to assist any municipality or organization that provides training or support for the municipalities of Oklahoma and their employees. Sponsorship allocations are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. All reimbursements will go to the municipality or organization.
