Sanitary Sewer CCTV Inspection

Overview

OMAG offers a limited number of grants to help members locate and document sewer main defects so municipalities can plan maintenance and capital improvements with confidence.

Up to $6,500
OMAG Pays Contractor Directly
Debris or sludge removed during inspection is deposited at the municipality’s wastewater facility. Contractors do not haul material outside city or town limits.

What the Grant Provides

  • One day of CCTV services by a NASSCO-certified contractor
  • Up to approximately 3,000 linear feet inspected, depending on field conditions
  • Jet flushing and vacuuming during the workday as needed
  • Digital video and PACP report provided to the municipality
  • OMAG pays the contractor directly, up to $6,500 per fiscal year

Eligibility

  • Active OMAG member with liability coverage
  • SLRAT inspection completed through OMAG prior to application
  • One CCTV grant per fiscal year per municipality
  • Complete applications required. No retroactive funding

Your Commitments (MOU Requirements)

  • Adopt or provide a sustainable wastewater collection system policy or program
  • Provide the current Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
  • Present CCTV findings to the governing board or council
  • Within 60 days, develop a plan addressing identified issues
  • Within 120 days, submit documentation outlining SSO risk reduction actions

How It Works

  1. Complete SLRAT with OMAG
  2. Apply for the CCTV grant
  3. Sign the MOU after application review
  4. OMAG coordinates scheduling
  5. Contractor confirms access roughly 48 hours prior
  6. Inspection and PACP reporting completed
  7. Submit required follow-up documentation

Availability & Funding

Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. If demand exceeds available funding, OMAG will maintain a waiting list.
