OMAG Root Control Grant

Supporting municipalities in addressing root intrusion within their sanitary sewer systems

As part of our commitment to helping Oklahoma municipalities safeguard critical infrastructure, OMAG partners with Duke's—an industry leader in root control and sewer system health. Duke's applies EPA-registered root control products through professionally trained crews who specialize in preserving and extending the life of sewer pipes.

More than just root removal, Duke's now offers a comprehensive suite of services including collection system triage, diagnostics, renewal, and monitoring. These proactive tools help cities and towns manage inflow and infiltration before they become costly problems.

By collaborating with trusted experts like Duke's, OMAG gives members access to solutions that support long-term system performance and protect public resources.

The OMAG Root Control Grant supports municipalities in addressing root intrusion within their sanitary sewer systems. Roots are a leading cause of sewer line blockages and overflows, and this grant is designed to help members take a strategic, evidence-based approach to preventing those issues before they become major liabilities.

While this grant may help launch or expand a root control program, it is not intended to serve as ongoing funding. OMAG encourages every municipality to plan, budget, and maintain their own root control efforts as part of a long-term sewer maintenance strategy.
