Sanitary Sewer Equipment (SSE) Purchase Grant

Helping Municipalities Invest in Safer, Smarter Sewer System Solutions

Sewer System Equipment

OMAG is proud to support our members through the Sanitary Sewer Equipment (SSE) Purchase Grant, a matching grant program designed to help municipalities purchase critical equipment for maintaining their sanitary sewer systems. This grant supports proactive maintenance practices that reduce the risk of sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs), lower liability exposure, and extend the life of infrastructure.

How the Grant Works

Up to $10,000
1:1 Matching Funds
OMAG matches the municipality's contribution
  • Reimbursement-Based: Municipalities purchase the equipment first, then submit required documentation for reimbursement
  • Award Limit: Each municipality may receive the SSE Grant up to two times total
  • Availability: Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. A waitlist will be created if applications exceed available funding.

Who Is Eligible?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a current OMAG member
  • Have received fewer than two SSE grants since 2018
  • Submit a complete application package (see requirements below)

What Equipment Qualifies?

The grant may be used to purchase new or refurbished equipment used for maintaining public sanitary sewer systems, such as:

  • Jetting trucks or trailers
  • Jetter nozzles and accessories
  • CCTV inspection cameras
  • Acoustic or smoke testing equipment
  • Flow monitoring and I&I detection tools
  • Manhole and lift station maintenance tools
  • Root control application systems

  • Final invoice
