Onsite Training
OMAG provides regional training opportunities throughout the year to support professional development and regulatory compliance. Select courses are DEQ-accredited for renewal training.

OKIE811 — OMAG Excavator Education Program
A 1½-hour online certification course tailored for professional excavators. Delivers extensive training on damage prevention to ensure the protection of underground facilities during excavation.
The curriculum is centered on Oklahoma regulations stipulated in the Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Act, as well as Contact Center protocols and industry best practices. Certification is awarded upon passing a 25-question test with a minimum score of 80%.

Audits & Inspections
OMAG's Risk Management Specialists can perform audits and inspections to identify, evaluate, and assist in controlling recognized hazards that may lead to liability or workers' compensation claims.
PEOSH Inspections
OMAG's Risk Management Specialists conduct both Pre- & Post-PEOSH Inspections. Pre-inspections identify safety and health hazards in violation of current safety regulations (29 CFR 1910 and 1926), preparing the city for an actual PEOSH inspection. Post-inspections provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate cited violations.
Facility Inspections
Focused on identifying hazards and safety regulation violations in areas such as fire prevention, equipment, machine guarding, chemical storage, and general working conditions.
Playground Inspections & Audits
Playground equipment can be a tremendous liability exposure if not installed, maintained, and inspected in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and ASTM 1487 standards. Audits are completed by a trained Risk Management Specialist to document and correct potential hazards.
Sewer Line Inspections & Audits
Sewer backup claims are one of the most frequent liability claims. OMAG offers a sewer line camera inspection to help municipalities reduce the frequency of these claims. Visit the Sanitary Sewer CCTV Grant page to apply.
SL-RAT
SL-RAT stands for Sewer Line Rapid Assessment Tool. This tool is available to OMAG municipalities at no charge.
The SL-RAT is a highly portable onsite assessment tool that quickly detects blockage conditions in gravity-fed sewers. It can provide a blockage assessment in 3 minutes or less with no flow contact.
The SL-RAT is composed of two components — the Transmitter (TX) and the Receiver (RX). The TX provides active acoustic transmission through the pipe ("yelling" down the pipe), while the RX listens for and interprets the received acoustic signal to assess blockage conditions.
Caring for Cemeteries
This course was developed to assist Oklahoma municipalities in addressing various challenges and issues cemetery caretakers might face. There is no cost to attend.
