Basic Jail Training

This course was developed to meet the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s basic training requirements for jail personnel.  Topics include:  Emergency Procedures, Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures, Jail Standards, Preventing Jail Suicide, Prisoner Rules and Regulations, Report Writing, Rights and Responsibilities of Prisoners, Security Concerns and Supervision of Prisoners.  The course is approved for 16 hours of continuing education credit by CLEET (2 hours mental health credit included).  There is no cost to attend the course. It will be held September 7 & 8, 2016 at the Western Technology Center, 301 Western Dr., Elk City, OK 73644, and will last from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Please contact Kevin McCullough at kmccullough@omag.org or (800) 234-9461 for more information.

Participants must have a current CPR/First Aid card prior to attending the course.

 

The Jailer Certification Test will be administered at 1:00 on September 8.
