Wilt has been Hobart's City Manager since 2000. His 22 years of municipal service include assignments in Texas, Hugo and Mangum before taking the City Manager's position in Hobart. Wilt participates in the Hobart Chamber of Commerce, is a Main Street Board Member, and is a member of the City Managers Association of Oklahoma, serving at one time as its President. He has been a mayor and councilman in Everman, Texas, has received the Torch Award from the Hobart Chamber of Commerce, and has served as President of the Hugo Rotary Club. He’s Past Master of a Texas Masonic Lodge, Past Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the State of Texas, and he served two years as Worshipful Master of the Hobart Masonic Lodge. Wilt received the Gerald D. Wilkins Award in 2003 and the Don Rider award in 2009. Wilt was elected to the Board in 2003. His current term will expire at the end of June 2012.
The City of Hobart is in OMAG's Municipal Liability Protection Plan, Municipal Property Protection Plan, and Workers' Compensation Plan.
