John has been the City Manger at Walters since October of 2003. Prior to that time, John served as the CEO of three different Rural Electric Cooperatives in Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma, and worked for ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) during their transition from a reliability coordination group to the Texas ISO and the open competitive electric market. John also spent a few years as the Office Manager for Texoma Peanut Company in Madill. Until June 2010, John served as a Board Member of the Great Plains Division of the American Red Cross. John is active in the First United Methodist Church, the Rotary Club, serves as the Vice President of the Walters Chamber of Commerce, and he is a member of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association.
